Located in Denver, CO. Silo Sound is Colorado’s premier recording studio that blends the best of both analog and digital worlds.
Studio A is the place you want to call home. A perfect blend of old and new. A Sony MXP-3036 36 channel analog console, with 13 channels of modified API 212 preamps. The first 16 channels have output transformers, 6 different types of EQs onboard, and a modified 2buss makes this console a workhorse and delivers everything you need for tracking. Studio A houses many vintage tape machines, such as a Studer A800 24 track 2″ and an MCI JH24/16. Studio A also uses a Pro Tools 11 HDX rig with 32 channels of I/O. The room showcases a stunning array of first class outboard gear and microphones. The tracking space features over 1100 sq/ft of space with 15′ ceilings and three large isolation rooms and is complimented with some fantastic vintage keyboards. Studio B is home to the fully restored SpectraSonics 1024 analog console. Built in 1974. This is an amazing console paired with a Scully 284-8 1" 8track machine (also from 1974). This rooms instantly gives you tones of Muscle Shoals, Ardent, Stax, and dozens of other studios that used the SpectraSonics/Scully partnership to create hit after hit. Studio B also has a Mac with ProTools & Logic, but its best when the computer monitor is left off. The tracking room at Silo Sound Recording Studio is second to none in the region. Massive open space for bands to spread out. Get the sounds you've always wanted with as little or as much isolation as you desire. |
