Silo Sound Launches as Denver’s Newest Production Collaboration Facility

The Evolution of Macy Sound Studios Promises More than a Name Change

 Denver, CO – Evolving from Grammy Award winning engineer John Macy’s heralded Macy Sound Studios, Silo Sound Studios is one of Colorado’s premier multi-room recording studios blending the best of both analog and digital worlds. When John Macy officially re-opened the doors to his studio complex 4 years ago, regional and national projects alike were already on deck to record including; Los Lobos, The Railbenders, Richie Furay, Matt Morris and The Trampolines.   The initial success of Macy Sound Studios soon attracted some of Colorado’s most successful engineer’s and producers including Grammy Award winning engineer Clark Hagan (Chet Atkins, Allison Krauss) and platinum recording engineer Jeff Kanan (Madonna, No Doubt) and along with Nick Sullivan and Todd Divel created one of Colorado’s most decorated and diverse production teams under one roof.  Along with John Macy, Silo Sound Studio’s production staff brings credentials not often found outside the music Mecca’s of Los Angeles, Nashville and New York and when combined with one of Colorado’s only first class multi-room recording facility serves to bring the rocky mountain region a first class studio that can accommodate any recording project.

By utilizing the ability to produce national level recordings and an unparalleled desire to fit almost every budget or circumstance, both independent and signed artists will be able to capitalize on this supportive recording environment.  Featuring one of the regions most diverse array of vintage and modern recording gear, Silo Sound has been responsible for recording some of the regions most notable artists and include: Brad Corrigan (Dispatch), The Swayback, The Boulder Acoustic Society, John Common and the Blinding Flashes of light, The Knew, Novus Folium, and The Photo Atlas.  Silo Sound is proud to be one of the areas only recording facilities that is open to independent engineers and outside production teams.  This, along with Silo Sound’s commitment to raising the level of sonic professionalism within the Colorado recording community, makes for a unique and satisfying recording environment.
